Application
The single Heating Circuit Compensator 2614 is a microprocessor based boiler compensator. It also is capable of controlling a DHW cylinder temperature by either reading a DHW demand signal (240 Vac) from the DHW Cylinder thermostat or measuring the DHW temperature by immersing an optional DHW Sensor ( 071) directly into the DHW cylinder. The control also has provisions for an external setpoint control input, separate from the DHW cylinder control, to override the controllers compensator function in order for the boiler to heat a pool or spa.
The 2614 has a large Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) in order to view system status, operating information, control settings and monitor system performance. It has capabilities of tracking important service information such as DHW cylinder temperatures, outdoor and system high and low temperatures and boiler running times and firing cycles. Several energy saving features have been incorporated into the 2614 such as Warm Weather Shut Down (WWSD), DHW post purge, system setback, DHW priority, Morning Boost, Soft Start and Auto Differential. The 2614 achieves zone room temperature control by either reading a powered signal from multiple frost protection thermostat controlled zone valve end switches or a Demand output from the Wiring Center or by reading the tekmar RTU 062. Night setback is achieved by interrupting the 2614's Boiler Demand input signals or by providing a night setback signal when using RTU 062.
